Mentmore Towers is not open to the public. It is currently owned by the troubled Simon Halabi(*1) and recently listed as one of the most endangered historic sites by English Heritage.(*2) The Towers is his private country residence and closed to the public for viewing or functions although several movies were filmed there many years ago. It was awarded planning approval for refurbishment into a private members hotel, but Halabi has failed to actually begin development on any such project.(*3)

However, if you would like to see it from a distance, I would recommend visiting Mentmore Golf and Country Club and then walking parts of the Rothschild Course near the 14-15th holes (with permission from the Club of course). (*4)

Contact the Country Club on 01296 662 020 for permission.
References :
(*1) Profile Simon Halabi (current owner as of June 2009) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Halabi

Your job prospects are definitely worse than the people with Engineering, or Accounting degrees.

But do not give up hope - look for work that is more dependent on personality and character than on technical skills - like sales, or customer service.

because the job market is so bad now, you may have to make do with an entry level, lower paying job for the time being.
References :
I love Le Petit Journal, a jazz club and restaurant across the boulevard from the Jardin de Luxembourg.
Either climb to the top of Notre Dame or up the steps of Sacre d'Coeur for the best views of the city ... without having to do the crowded and exorbitant ride to the top of Eiffel's mistake. (Some good bargin shopping in the streets at the foot of Sacre d'Coeur, too.)
Go to the free Sunday organ concert at Saint Sulpice, walk the Jardin de Luxembourg and the Tuilleries.
Stop for drinks, shopping, and people watching on the Champs-Élysées. Visit the famous graves at Père Lachaise cemetery.
And spend every evening at a sidewalk cafe or restaurant for wonderful food and drink.

Also:
Wander around the Marais section right next to Place de Bastille. It's full of lovely quaint streets and shops. Visit St. Paul's church. Go to the Picasso museum! Go straight down Rue de Rivoli to the Louvre! Go north to the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery and the Canal Saint-Martin. And definitely spend some time in Place des Voges.
The Musée Carnavalet is also there: a museum of the history of Paris itself.
There's also a big opera house there, but they are a bit expensive in Paris.
Get a pack of 10 Metro tickets for a little under 12 Euros and you can go just about anywhere in the city!
Have a piece of luxurious chocholate at Jadis et Gourmande in 39, rue des Archives.
References :
Paris is lovely! I would personally do some christmas shopping in the malls, if I where you! If its open, disneyland is always good, though its quite a while away, about an hour, but its worth it, if you like that thing. In the town you'll find cute coves of hidden away resteraunts to suit whatever you want to eat. As for markets, i'm not sure. If i where you, just explore and see wherever your mood takes you! Have fun :)
References :
I'm a paris lover! :D

just walk around and you'll find things. Exploring is the most exciting part of visiting a city, especially one as beautiful as Paris.
The study is talking about solar flares, etc. That kind of energy can affect subtle things like radio communications. It's not remotely enough energy to make the enormous change in the world's temperatures that we've seen. The authors make not the slightest claim that the phenomena they've observed are significant factors in global warming.

Many papers have shown that, over the past 40 years, solar radiation has, on average, DECREASED slightly while temperatures have increased. One example:

Lockwood and Frohlich, 2007, “Recent oppositely-directed trends in solar climate forcings and the global mean surface air temperature", Proceedings of the Royal Society A, London, July 10, 2007, doi: 10.1098/prsa.2007.1880
References :
Don't confuse ions (solar-wind particles) with radiation (visible light, infra-red, ultra-violet, etc). The particles of a solar wind provide auroral light shows and a berrillium shower, but provide only a fraction of the energy in comparison with the radiation spectrum. Solar output is not related directly to the number of sunspots. Sunspot number is one indicator of increased solar output, but not exclusively. The sun can have higher output without a increase of sunspots, and as illustrated in this study, the sun can have an increase of solar wind without an increase of sunspots.
